Officer of development

Samantha Collum - River Oaks Travel

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology, Samantha pursued a PhD in Biochemistry before deciding to focus on her real passion: travel. As Director of Operations and Senior Luxury Travel Advisor for River Oaks Travel, she now pairs her love of travel with a detail-oriented and scientific approach to carefully design and coordinate once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Samantha has been recognized as a Conde Nast Traveler Top Travel Specialist since 2021, Virtuoso Rising Star Nominee in 2019, and was a founding member of Virtuoso’s Millennial Mindset Innovation Team; she looks forward to serving the MIT travel community in Houston as the chapter’s Officer of Development.

Jessica Sebesta - velas resorts

Jessica is a Native Texan and graduated from the University of Houston, Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management. After college, she worked at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, as a Group Sales Manager. In 2018, she began a new role as a Sales Manager at TopGolf. In 2020, after being furloughed for 6 months, she began a new journey as a regional Sales Director for a startup rep company for Independent, Boutique Hotels. In 2022, Jessica found her current position, Regional Sales Director for Velas Resorts. She considers herself a Hospitality Industry Leader and Innovator and hopes to integrate her professional passions with her role at Millennials in Travel.

Alison Stokes - CSB Travel

Alison graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in political science. After college, she worked in film production in Miami, FL. In 2019, she moved to Houston and entered the travel industry. Early in her career, Alison learned the value of forging strong relationships with industry partners and other advisors. She’s excited to be involved with MIT Houston and plan memorable, engaging events!
